went to a temple with my mom last friday, and i saw this bronze urn with very intricate carvings..
thought of sharing with you guys..
a brownish urn with a square rooftop for putting incense sticks, each pillar bearing a dragon each, the three legs are of the form of dragon or tiger..
you can see that the dragon is holding a bell in its mouth, wonder what does it signifies?

traditional lion's face holding a ring in its mouth..
the two dragons at the side of the sun, guarding it..

i think it is the delicate of the craftsmanship that made this urn a very good piece of art, each scale, each hair are all sculpted carefully.. it brought out the life of the mystical creatures..
i like sculptures, be it bronze or ceramics, and its amazing what people can create from these two mediums.. personally, i like to collect ceramic teapots and teacups, and figurines..
